Portsmouth In Talks To Sign Manchester City Defender Tal Ben Haim

Portsmouth are today in negotiations with Manchester City for the transfer to Fratton Park of experienced Israeli centre-back Tal Ben Haim, according to a report from Sky Sports News.
The 27-year-old is something of a forgotten man at Eastlands, and looks unlikely to break into the side ahead of recent arrivals Joleon Lescott and Kolo Toure.
The former Chelsea man spent the second half of last season on loan at Sunderland, though he made little impact on the first team at the Stadium of Light despite the Black Cats being locked in a battle for Premier League survival.
Portsmouth manager Paul Hart has had a busy week as the transfer window draws to a close, having added Kevn Prince-Boateng, Michael Brown and Tommy Smith to his squad, and now looks set to reinforce his back four.
