Thanda's Parker set for Man City trial
Thanda Royal Zulu star Bernard Parker will go on trial at Manchester City later this year as the affiliation between the two clubs blossoms.
The club is in the hands of a Swedish consortium that bought out the now defunct Benoni Premier United.
Man City are of course managed by Sven-G๖ran Eriksson and his son is the assistant manager of Thanda.
This has led to the creation of a vibrant relationship between the two clubs, and Parker could be the first player to benefit.
The 22-year-old striker now has a shot at impressing Eriksson at the end of the season.
"We are not sure of the date but Bernard is definitely going at the end of the season. He will visit other countries and teams as well for more trials but we don't have the details yet," Royal Zulu spokesman Thabani Gumede told the Sunday Times.
"Sven-G๖ran knows our coaches very well. Our technical staff recommended Parker to the English Premiership side. It is a good opportunity for the player and as a club we will not stand in his way. He has served the club very well for many years," explained Gumede.
