Roberto Mancini is drawing up a list of players he wishes to bring to Manchester City
and the Italian has earmarked a trio of British talent he believes he
can successfully persuade to make the move.
Having failed to sign stellar signings such as Fernando Torres and John Terry, players the
Eastlands side have reportedly made approaches for, Mancini has now
looked to snap up youngsters Gareth Bale
and Andy Carroll who he feels would jump at the chance to join the
bankrolled club in pursuit of meaningful silverware. He also believes he
can snap up Chelsea full back Ashley Cole who is still apparently unhappy with life at Stamford Bridge.
Both Tottenham and Newcastle United will fight off advances for their prized young assets but both clubs
may find it hard to keep hold of their star performers when they are
offered huge salary increases and a move to a club with a frightening
fortune that may well see them become genuine title chasers.
Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly ready to consider offers for left back Cole and
a move to Real Madrid was apparently close to completion during the
summer but the England man may now believe a deal to join Man City may
be a more lucrative offer and one he could find very tempting.
